How to Care for Your Soy Candle

A few simple habits that will transform how your candle burns, and how long it lasts.

The first burn sets the tone for everything that follows. Allow your candle to burn long enough for the wax pool to reach the edges of the vessel, as this helps prevent tunnelling. Always trim your wick to 5mm before relighting. A trimmed wick gives a more controlled flame and helps preserve the surface of the wax. Keep your candle away from draughts. An unsteady flame can burn unevenly and leave residue on the vessel. Never burn for more than four hours at a time. Let the candle cool before relighting. Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains. Beyond this point, the vessel can overheat.
