1. Overview

These terms apply to your use of this website and purchases made from Maison de Lumière. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Product information

We aim to keep product descriptions and pricing accurate. Our handmade pieces may have small variations in colour, finish, and decorative detail. Photographs and colour references are a guide: lighting and screen settings can make a shade appear different from the finished piece. We will work to the colour direction agreed with you; this does not affect your rights if an item is not as described.

3. Orders and acceptance

Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to cancel or decline orders in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected misuse.

4. Bespoke and personalised orders

For a bespoke commission, we agree the design, price, and lead time with you before production begins. Please tell us promptly if you need to change or cancel it. We will try to help before production starts. Once work has begun on an item made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you, we cannot accept changes to the agreed details or a change-of-mind cancellation.

Choosing from our standard range of shapes, colours, or scents does not, by itself, remove your statutory cancellation rights, even if we make the item after you order. Your rights for faulty, damaged, or incorrectly described goods always remain. See our Returns and Refunds page for details.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices are listed in GBP. Payment is required at checkout unless otherwise agreed in writing for custom event work.

6. Delivery

Delivery timings are estimates and may vary during peak periods or for custom work. Please provide accurate delivery details.

7. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased, except where rights cannot be excluded under applicable law.
